I Love A Funny Time Travel Film

Editor — Mon, 10 Aug 2015 14:15:16 +0000

Aussie podcasters and film-makers Lucas Testro and Larry Boxshall have put together a funny short film with the help of a Kickstarter.

Titled ‘I’m You, Dickhead’, it’s 11 minutes of great fun that covers the best bits of the time travel genre.

Enjoy!

Five Great Sources of Humour on Facebook

Editor — Wed, 09 Jan 2013 03:17:21 +0000

If like me you spent the odd minute or two on Facebook, you may be looking for some reliable sources of humour. Below we have five Facebook pages that deliver just that.

1. Three Laughs Per Day

First some transparency: this is a page that I run for pure enjoyment. It has a mix of humorous pics with some attention to avoiding racist / sexist posts. Only a handful of posts are made each day at the most. Usually safe for work although contains some language – overall for over 18s only.

2. Creepypasta

A good cross-section of humour, mostly safe for work. Over 18s. Usually 6-8 posts a day.

3. Cop Humour – Australia

All police-related humour but still broad enough to appeal to most. Quite a few posts per day but not enough to be annoying.

4. Collective Noun

Given the title, you assume this is a more full-om page but it’s generally ok although there are definitely a number of NSFW images posted. Over 18s only.

5. No Hope For The Human Race

Although there’s some more general humour, this one’s not for the faint-hearted and definitely isn’t safe for work at times. Also has some more contentious humour that will get some people’s backs up. Absolutely for those over 18 only.

One of the funny Movember pics I’ve seen

Editor — Tue, 20 Nov 2012 03:44:01 +0000

Movember is a very fine cause that’s grown and grown over the past few years. Some of the moustaches grown can be a little sparse, but on the other end of the extreme there’s impressive efforts like this:

I happen to know the subject of this photo and he has a huge commitment to the cause: why not donate to someone you know who’s taking part? And I have to admit I’m glad I didn’t see the pre-back shave photo!

Google Plus: Facebook killer? Hitler says maybe

Editor — Sat, 02 Jul 2011 09:39:43 +0000

Although it’s been done to death, the Hitler Downfall Meme still gives me plenty of laughs. With the ramp up of Google Plus over the past week, there’s been plenty of talk about it becoming a serious competitor or even eventual killer of Facebook.

After 24 hours of using Google Plus myself, I though an addition to the Hitler meme was called for. So without further ado, enjoy Hitler’s take on Google Plus:

For what it’s worth, I’m very impressed with Google Plus so far – it’s certainly had a more promising start than Google Wave and I can see over a year or two it’ll get significant traction. A big thanks to Raulan for the invite and sorry I don’t have any invites to hand out.

The Hitler Downfall meme continues

Editor — Sat, 22 Jan 2011 23:00:29 +0000

For those unaware, there are now hundreds of short pieces on YouTube using the Downfall movie as a basis – a movie I need to add is well worth buying in its original form. Each parody addresses a contemporary issue. Although a meme that’s been pretty much flogged to death, I couldn’t resist making one that addressed yesterday’s milestone of 10 billion apps downloaded on the Apple App Store. It takes a swipe at Microsoft, Facebook, Google and Apple in fairly equal amounts.
